Co-Mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality 

 

Doğan Hatun currently serves as the Co-Mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality.

Born in the district of Kulp, Diyarbakır, Mr Hatun graduated from the Department of Mining Engineering at Dicle University.

From 2016 to 2023, he served as co-chair of the Chamber of Mining Engineers.

During the same period, he also held the position of secretary of the Diyarbakır Provincial Coordination Board (İKK) within the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB).

Mr Hatun has also been actively involved in various civil society organisations, including serving as term spokesperson of the Labour and Democracy Platform and as a board member of the Diyarbakır Urban Protection and Solidarity Platform.
