Applications Open for the New Term at Zarokistans

Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 academic year at 450 Evler and Bağcılar Zarokistans, operated by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality.

Operating under the Children’s Services Unit of the Department of Social Services, Zarokistans will offer children a multilingual, mother tongue-based programme during the new academic year.

At Zarokistans, the developmental and care needs of children aged 3 to 6 will be addressed through an approach centred on play, mother tongue, culture, arts and children’s participation.

As part of the pre-school education programme, children will take part in drama, music, theatre, philosophy, sports and visual arts activities. Play, self-expression, peer relationships, self-care, exploration and creativity will also form an integral part of the daily programme.

Children’s breakfasts, lunches and snacks at Zarokistans will be prepared in accordance with meal plans developed by qualified dietitians.

Activities to Be Multilingual

Pre-school activities at Zarokistans will be conducted through a multilingual, mother tongue-based approach. Children will be provided with an environment where they can express themselves, build relationships with their peers, and develop their curiosity and creativity.

Following the assessment of applications, waiting lists will also be drawn up for each age group. If any children offered a place do not complete their registration, or if places become available in the relevant age group, children on the waiting list will be invited to register in the order in which they are ranked.
