Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality continues to provide support to residents and students whose income is insufficient to meet their needs as part of its social local government services. As part of this work, cash support payments were made to help cover students’ stationery needs.

3,000 TL payment per household

Coordinated by the Assistance Services Unit of the Department of Social Services, the scheme provided 795 student households with TL 3,000 each in stationery support. The total amount paid to the households reached TL 2 million 385 thousand.

Helping families meet education costs

The stationery support is intended to help meet students’ educational needs and ease the education-related expenses of families whose income is insufficient to cover their needs.

Social support programmes to continue

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality will continue its social support programmes to strengthen social solidarity, contribute to students’ education and improve the living conditions of residents whose income is insufficient to meet their needs.
