Türkiye Champions Visit DBB
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak welcomed athletes from Diyarbakır Kayapınar Sports Club for People with Disabilities, who took first place among 29 provinces at the Türkiye Climbing Championship organised by the Türkiye Mountaineering Federation in Bursa.
Athletes from Diyarbakır Kayapınar Sports Club for People with Disabilities, who won first place at the Türkiye Climbing Championship held in Bursa by the Türkiye Mountaineering Federation from 27 to 29 March, visited Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak.
During the visit, accompanied by Assembly Co-Spokesperson Ayhan Karatekin, heads of departments and Club Representative Mehmet Emin Erdoğan, the athletes shared their achievements from the tournament.
Six Gold Medals Among 11 Medals Won
The athletes brought Diyarbakır first place after winning a total of 11 medals at the tournament, including six gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
Co-Mayor Serra Bucak congratulated the athletes and coaching staff for bringing this achievement to the city and wished them continued success. She said that Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality would continue to increase its support for sport and for events that promote the participation of athletes with disabilities in social life.
