Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality organised an event for children receiving treatment at Dicle University as part of Children with Leukaemia Week, marked between 2–8 November.

The Department of Services for Persons with Disabilities and Older People, Rare and Chronic Diseases Branch, held the event with the support of the Haematology and Oncology Clinic in order to draw attention to leukaemia, raise public awareness and give hope to children with leukaemia during Children with Leukaemia Week (2–8 November). The event aimed to boost the morale of children undergoing treatment in hospital.

During the event, a wooden painting workshop and musical performance were held for the children, while psychological support was provided to relatives of patients through group work. At the end of the programme, various gifts were presented to the children.
