Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Doğan Hatun met with Rosa Surinach, Councillor of Barcelona City Council, to exchange views on urbanisation and city planning.

Co-Mayor Hatun, who attended the 6th UCLG World Culture Summit held in Barcelona, Spain, continues his meetings in the city.

The meeting was attended by Siraç Çelik, Co-Mayor of Bağlar Municipality and President of the Union of Municipalities of Southeastern Anatolia (GABB); Fatma Gulan Önkol, Co-Mayor of Sur Municipality; and Zeynep Yaş, Head of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, alongside Councillor Rosa Surinach of Barcelona City Council.

During the meeting with Surinach, an expert in urban development and city planning, the participants discussed opportunities for sharing experiences and developing joint initiatives between the two cities. The importance of mutual technical visits and continued cooperation was also highlighted.
