Co-Mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, Doğan Hatun, took part in the Ordinary Second Assembly Meeting of the Union of Historical Towns.
The 2024 Ordinary Second Assembly Meeting of the Union of Historical Towns was held in Marmaris, hosted by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and Menteşe Municipality. The meeting, held at a hotel, was attended by Doğan Hatun, Co-Mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, along with 300 mayors and 500 municipal council members.
The summit of the Union of Historical Towns began with the opening speeches of Mansur Yavaş, President of the Union of Historical Towns and Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, and Ahmet Aras, President of the Coastal Aegean Municipalities Union and Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, and continued with the “Union of Historical Towns Assembly Meeting.”
Later in the meeting, presentations were made under the theme “Preserving Historical Values: Protection and Sustainability of Cultural Heritage.” The presentations provided detailed information on historical structures and cultural heritage initiatives in member cities of the Union.
