Co-mayors meet with residents

The co-mayors of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, Serra Bucak and Doğan Hatun, received residents at the municipality.

Residents who visited the municipality to raise requests and share suggestions were welcomed by the co-mayors. During the meeting at the municipal service building, Bucak and Hatun met residents individually and listened to their requests, suggestions and views regarding city life and municipal services.

In the discussions, residents had the opportunity to convey their expectations directly to the co-mayors on matters including infrastructure, transport, social services and communication with local government. The co-mayors said the issues raised had been noted, would be shared with the relevant departments, and that follow-up on the resolution process would be carried out closely.

Expressing their satisfaction with the visit, Bucak and Hatun underlined that they continue their work with an understanding of participatory and transparent local governance, and noted that residents’ views and suggestions provide important guidance for improving municipal services. They added that the Metropolitan Municipality operates with an approach that prioritises direct engagement with the public.

Residents, for their part, welcomed the opportunity to share their views directly and thanked the municipality for its interest and hospitality.
