Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak met with mayors from municipalities represented within Eurocities and the B40 Balkan Cities Network, and attended the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (TBB) Executive Board meeting for February.

The TBB Executive Board meeting was held at the Union’s headquarters in Ankara. The meeting was chaired by TBB Deputy Chair and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer, and was attended by Executive Board members, including Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak.

Ahead of the meeting, TBB Executive Board members met with mayors and senior officials from municipalities representing the European Cities Network (Eurocities) and the B40 Balkan Cities Network. The discussion addressed international cooperation and solidarity among local authorities, and drew attention to strengthening local democracy in Türkiye, upholding the rule of law, and safeguarding democratic institutions.

Following the visit by the delegation of mayors, the TBB Executive Board members convened for their regular February meeting.
