Under a decision taken by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, municipal buses operating across the city will provide free travel for women on 8 March, International Working Women’s Day.

The Department of Transportation is introducing a special measure for women in urban transport in observance of International Working Women’s Day on 8 March. Under the decision, municipal buses operating throughout Diyarbakır on 8 March will carry women free of charge. The measure aims to make it easier for women to take part in 8 March events and engage more fully in social life across the city.
