Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayors Serra Bucak and Doğan Hatun met the DBB Women’s Volleyball Team at an iftar programme ahead of their crucial match against Zerenspor, offering their support to the players before a fixture that will be decisive for the team’s league survival.
Co-Mayors Serra Bucak and Doğan Hatun, together with council members, met players from Diyarbakır Metropolitan Belediyespor Women’s Volleyball Team, which was established under the Department of Youth and Sports Services and competes in Group B of the Turkish Women’s First Volleyball League, at an iftar programme held ahead of the Zerenspor match, which is of major importance for remaining in the league. During the programme, organised at a venue in Kayapınar district, the Co-Mayors met with the players and received information about the team’s work throughout the season, their preparations and their situation ahead of the final match.
Speaking with the players during the programme, the Co-Mayors highlighted the team’s hard work and determination and offered words of encouragement. In their remarks, they said: “Well done to all of you for your efforts. We wish you continued success. We wish you the very best. Travel safely and come back with a fine victory.”
The DBB Women’s Volleyball Team will face Zerenspor in the final match of the season at the Selim Sırrı Tarcan Zeren Volleyball Hall in Ankara. The match, which is of great importance for the team’s league survival, will be played on Sunday.
