Sweet treats distributed to residents on Laylat al-Qadr

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality distributed sweets to residents at mosques on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr.

The Department of Press, Publications and Public Relations organised a distribution programme to mark Laylat al-Qadr. As part of the programme, attended by Berivan Güneş, Head of the Department of Press, Publications and Public Relations, and council members, municipal teams handed out sweets to residents arriving at mosques for worship.

The distribution took place outside Ulu Mosque, the Hazrat Sulayman Mosque, 450 Evler Mosque and Bayramoğlu Mosque, located in different parts of the city. After completing their prayers, residents were able to collect sweets from the stands set up at the mosque exits.

The refreshments offered during the night, when the spiritual atmosphere was deeply felt, were warmly welcomed by residents attending the mosques.

As large numbers gathered at mosques throughout the night, municipal teams carried out the distribution in an orderly manner and delivered the treats to residents. Through the programme, the spiritual atmosphere of Laylat al-Qadr was shared, while also contributing to a stronger sense of social unity and solidarity.
