Batman University students attending the May meeting of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Council had the opportunity to observe the council’s work on site. Speaking at the meeting, Co-Mayor Serra Bucak expressed her happiness over Amedspor’s promotion to the Süper Lig.

The first session of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Council’s ordinary May meeting was held at the municipal service building. Chaired by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak, the meeting was attended by council members as well as students from Batman University.

Speaking at the meeting, Co-Mayor Serra Bucak said they felt great pride and happiness over Amedspor’s promotion to the Süper Lig, adding: “As a whole city, we are proud and honoured. I wish them continued success and hope their path remains open.”

Co-Mayor Bucak also briefed council members on the content of the Societal Peace and Freedom Forum, calling on them to take part in and contribute to the forum.

Students observed council proceedings on site

Students from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Batman University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences also attended Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Council’s ordinary May meeting. The students had the opportunity to follow the council’s work on site and expressed their thanks for being able to take part in the meeting.

Co-Mayor Bucak, in turn, said she was pleased to welcome the students to the council.
