Residents’ Requests and Suggestions Addressed
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality recorded residents’ requests, suggestions and complaints through the ALO 153 Call Centre, “Söz Sizde” stands and On-Site Solutions teams.
The Department of Press, Publications and Public Relations continues its work across the city centre and rural neighbourhoods to identify issues on site and communicate directly with residents.
On-Site Solutions Unit Processes 1,659 Submissions
The On-Site Solutions Unit received and processed 1,659 requests submitted through fieldwork and direct applications in June, July and August. Teams visited neighbourhoods, residential complexes, parks, streets, businesses and rural areas to hear residents’ requests, suggestions and complaints directly on site.
As part of the “Söz Sizde” initiative, stands were set up at numerous locations, including Koşuyolu, Ayşe Şan, Körhat, Roboski, Anıt, Hz. Süleyman, Park 75, Kardeşlik, Hintli Baba, Anzele, Newroz and Halil İbrahim Oruç parks. Requests placed in the collection boxes were recorded and forwarded to the relevant municipal departments.
Issues Identified During Field Visits
Mobile field teams carried out work in numerous neighbourhoods and areas, including Peyas, Fabrika, Başil, Yolboyu, Yiğitçavuş, Kuça, Talaytepe, Selahattin Eyyübi, Karaçalı, Üçkuyular, Musa Anter Avenue, İskenderpaşa, Fatih and Körhat.
The teams identified issues including damaged roads and pavements, accumulations of waste and construction debris, faults in drinking water supply lines, the need for pest control and environmental cleaning. These issues were referred to the relevant municipal departments, DİSKİ and district municipalities for action. Following a petition submitted by residents, maintenance and repair works were also carried out on the Eski Derik group road in Muratçık neighbourhood.
Seasonal agricultural workers in rural neighbourhoods were also visited to hear about their working conditions, needs and suggestions. Water and hats were distributed to the workers.
Masal Sandığı Reaches Rural Neighbourhoods
As part of the Masal Sandığı Project, books were distributed to primary school pupils in the Bahçecik and Hamuryazan neighbourhoods of Sur district and the Hantepe, Güzelköy, Bozek and Dökmetaş neighbourhoods of Yenişehir district.
70,641 Calls Registered as Submissions in Three Months
The ALO 153 Call Centre received 62,451 calls in June, of which 28,550 were registered as submissions. In July, 25,966 of the 58,523 calls received were registered as submissions, while 16,125 of the 44,224 calls received between 1 and 26 August were registered as submissions.
Over the period, ALO 153 received 151,953 calls in Turkish, 12,886 in Kurmanji Kurdish and 359 in Zazaki.
1,730 CİMER Submissions Reviewed
The Public Relations Unit Directorate reviewed a total of 1,730 submissions received through the Presidency’s Communication Centre (CİMER). The submissions, comprising suggestions, requests, complaints and messages of thanks, were forwarded to the relevant departments for the necessary action.
