Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality has set up a “Welcome” stand at Dicle University to mark the start of the new academic year. The stand provides students with an opportunity to share their requests, suggestions and views, while also providing information about the Municipality’s education support programmes and application procedures.

The Department of Press, Publications and Public Relations has set up the “Welcome” stand outside the Dicle University Student Life Centre to make it easier for university students to access municipal services.

Public Relations staff working at the stand are meeting students face to face, particularly those who have just started university, to hear their requests, suggestions and expectations. Request, suggestion and feedback forms are also available, allowing students to share their views directly with Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality.

Diyarbakır’s Historical and Cultural Sites Introduced

Brochures prepared by the Department of Culture and Social Affairs are also being used to introduce students to Diyarbakır’s historical and cultural sites. Students are also given the DBB Press Bulletin and offered refreshments.

Information on Education Support Programmes

Students enrolling at university for the first time are being given information about the education support programmes provided by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality and the application procedures they need to follow to benefit from this support.

The “Welcome” stand provides an opportunity for direct communication with students, and continues to collect the requests and suggestions of university students concerning local government.

Open for One Month

The “Welcome” stand will remain open for one month, giving students an opportunity to share their requests, suggestions and views.
