The training was delivered to students with autism, Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities registered at the Care Homes and Active Life Centre of the Department of Services for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly, with the aim of addressing concentration problems, supporting rehabilitation processes and improving psycho-motor skills through hydrotherapy (water-based therapy).
Participants were collected from their homes by vehicles belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality and brought to the Küpeli Indoor Swimming Pool of Kayapınar Municipality, where the training took place.
Improving Motor Skills
Under the guidance of expert instructors, hydrotherapy sessions were carried out in the pool, engaging children in exercises that simultaneously work various muscle groups and improve both gross and fine motor skills.
Aimed at enhancing the physical, cognitive, perceptual, psychological and emotional development of participants, the training sessions also provided the children with an enjoyable experience.
