Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayors Serra Bucak and Doğan Hatun met with members of the City of Paris International Relations Committee during their programme of engagements in Paris, France. Former DBB Co-Mayor Gültan Kışanak also accompanied the delegation.

During the meeting, the DBB delegation underlined the importance of steps to strengthen solidarity and mutual exchange of experience between the two cities. Geneviève Garrigos, a member of the City of Paris International Relations Committee, said they were open to developing long-term, sustainable cooperation with Diyarbakır.

Co-Mayors to sign twinning agreement

As part of their visit, the Co-Mayors are set to sign a sister-city (twinning) agreement with the City of Rennes in the coming days and take part in a technical visit focusing on solid waste management.
