On-site Solution teams carry out field work in Sur, Yenişehir and Kayapınar

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality is listening to residents’ requests directly on the ground through its “On-site Solution” initiative.

In line with a people-centred approach to governance—aimed at reaching residents more easily and strengthening communication channels—teams from the Department of Press, Media and Public Relations, which delivers the “On-site Solution” service, have been conducting field work across Bağlar, Kayapınar, Yenişehir and Sur districts to help residents contact the municipality directly. As part of this work, teams carried out information activities and met with residents in Çarıklı (Sur), Şılbe and Fabrika (Yenişehir), and Yolboyu Pirinçlik neighbourhood (Kayapınar).

During the neighbourhood visits, teams called at workplaces one by one to listen to residents’ requests and to initiate solution processes on site in line with identified needs. Information leaflets were distributed in Turkish, Kurmanji and Kirmanckî, while requests were recorded so that issues could be addressed quickly and directly in the field.

Municipal communication channels introduced to residents

Teams reminded residents that the Metropolitan Municipality provides services 24/7, and said residents can contact the municipality by calling the ALO 153 line or via WhatsApp on +90 (412) 153 00 00.

As part of the outreach work, the 444 36 21 “Alo Violence” hotline was also promoted, with information shared that women can safely access support whenever they need it.
