Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak hosted Anita Starosta, a Board Member of Medico International.

Anita Starosta, a Board Member of Medico International—an international human rights and humanitarian aid organisation based in Germany—paid a visit to Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality. Following a welcome, Co-Mayor Serra Bucak met with Starosta.

During the meeting, information was shared on support provided to organisations working on the ground in the aftermath of the earthquake, as well as on Starosta’s activities during this period. The municipality’s disaster management work and solidarity-based approach were also discussed.

The meeting also focused on potential areas of partnership, including strengthening solidarity networks, enhancing local disaster preparedness capacity, and developing international cooperation.

Co-Mayor Bucak thanked Starosta for the visit and expressed her satisfaction at hosting her.
