Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Doğan Hatun attended the opening of the Gluten-Free Living Centre, a new initiative delivered by Kayapınar Municipality.

Kayapınar Municipality has launched a significant project for residents with gluten sensitivity. The opening ceremony of the Gluten-Free Living Centre, established in Fırat neighbourhood, was attended by Co-Mayor Doğan Hatun; members of the Metropolitan Municipal Council; Kayapınar Municipality Co-Mayors Berivan Gülşen Sincar and Cengiz Dündar; co-mayors from district municipalities; representatives of civil society organisations; and local residents.

In their opening remarks, Kayapınar Municipality Co-Mayors Berivan Gülşen Sincar and Cengiz Dündar said they were proud to bring a new public service to the community through an approach rooted in democratic and community-focused municipalism. Stating that they are working to meet public expectations, the co-mayors underlined that they would continue efforts to reach and serve all sections of society, including children, women, older people and persons with disabilities.

Centre officially opened

Following the speeches, the co-mayors cut the ribbon to officially open the Gluten-Free Living Centre. They then toured the facility and received information about the project.
