Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak attended the conference organised by the Peace Mothers Assembly.

Held at the Çand Amed Culture and Congress Centre under the motto “Mothers are the pioneers of a democratic society and lasting peace,” the two-day conference brought together Co-Mayor Bucak; Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan; DEM Party Diyarbakır Provincial Co-Chair Gülşen Özer; district co-mayors; DBB Deputy Chief Executive Zerin Türk; and representatives of women’s organisations.

In her address, Co-Mayor Bucak greeted the Peace Mothers and expressed her hope that the conference would pave the way for peace.
