Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality will provide educational support of 20,000 TL to students enrolling at university for the first time this year.

Taking action to strengthen equal opportunities in education, the Metropolitan Municipality will provide a total of 20,000 TL in educational support to Diyarbakır students who are registering at university for the first time. This support will be available to students who were residing in Diyarbakır before 19 July.

Within the scope of the project carried out by the Department of Social Services, students aged 30 and under who have been admitted to state or private universities with full scholarships and who are enrolling at university for the first time will be provided with a total of 20,000 TL in educational support, paid in two instalments of 10,000 TL each.

Applications Open on 22 September

Applications will open on 22 September and close on 24 October. Students will be able to apply by entering their ID number, name and surname details at egitimdestek.diyarbakir.bel.tr. Students admitted to state universities through the General Aptitude Exam, as well as those admitted to foundation/private universities with 100% scholarships, must also submit their documents by hand to the Department of Social Services located at Sümerpark Common Living Area.

Once the application documents are verified, the support payments will be deposited into students’ bank accounts on the specified dates.
