‘We Will Continue to Support the Right to Education of People with Disabilities’
Director of the Disability and Elderly Services Unit, İsmail Değirmenci, stated that through their work they aim to raise awareness regarding people with disabilities.
Reminding that the Metropolitan Municipality provides services for people with disabilities, Değirmenci said:
“While carrying out our work, we emphasise the diversity of the city and act with the principle of living together in unity. Moving away from conventional and classical methods, we visited Surkent Primary and Secondary School for the Hearing-Impaired during Hearing-Impaired Week. By presenting an educational set to our hearing-impaired friends, we raised awareness. From here, we give this promise: we will continue to support the right to education of people with disabilities.”
