The International Flying Carpet Children’s Festival was held

The International Flying Carpet Children’s Festival, hosted by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, was attended by 37 artists from 16 countries.

Organised by the Art Everywhere Association under the auspices of the Department of Social Services, the International Flying Carpet Children’s Festival was held. The festival, which took place at Sümerpark Shared Living Space, was attended by 37 artists from 16 countries. Various activities were organised at the festival, including workshops, a puppet show, concerts, storytelling and handicrafts.

The children had a wonderful time

The Handmade Puppet Workshop, Percussion Workshop, Japanese Origami Workshop (the art of paper folding), Digital Storytelling Workshop, Circus Workshop, Virtual Reality Flying Carpet Experience, Face Painting Stand and Indian Martial Arts performances at the festival attracted great interest from children.

At the event, children had unforgettable moments, enjoying themselves freely with both the artists and their friends.

‘The festival took place with the enthusiastic and joyful participation of children’

Providing information about the festival activities, Baran Bozboğa, a staff member of the Children’s Unit of the Department of Social Services, said that the festival was very colourful and that the children enjoyed themselves.

Bozboğa said; “Our workshops within the scope of the International Flying Carpet Children’s Festival started in an enthusiastic and joyful way with the participation of our parents and children. Our workshops continue at regular intervals. The activities will last until a grand concert to be held at the Amphitheatre,”
