Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak hosted members of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW).

The delegation, who came to the city to attend the Newroz celebrations in Diyarbakır, included Dorothea Zimmermann, Susanne Dhyr, Dr Nesmil Kasumlu, Dr Ingrid Walbrach-Frickler, Dr Mustafa Altintop, Dr Jay Barra, Dr Esther Fabel, Kerstin Medya Rozan and Marce Besmer.

Following the welcome, a meeting was held during which local government work and the activities of IPPNW were discussed. The meeting also underlined the importance of mutual cooperation and solidarity.
