The importance of building awareness from an early age, supporting healthy social environments and expanding public awareness activities was underlined. It was also noted that coordinated action by families, schools and society as a whole plays a critical role in preventing addiction.

Focus on a Clean Terrace Culture

It was emphasised that terraces should be spaces where only the spirit and excitement of sport are experienced, and that fostering a supporter culture based on respect and solidarity, free from harmful habits, is of great importance. Supporter groups were described as being capable of taking a leading role in this regard.

The Substance Addiction Counselling and Education Centre will continue its work on combating addiction in other cities across the region in line with incoming requests.
