Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Doğan Hatun met with Anja Dahl, Country Director of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), and Stephen Cahill, Representative of the World Food Programme (WFP) in Turkey, in Ankara.

Co-Mayor DoÄŸan Hatun held a series of meetings in Ankara. His first meeting was with Stephen Cahill, Country Director and Representative of the World Food Programme (WFP) in Turkey. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the areas of poverty reduction, food security and social assistance, as well as developing new projects on food aid and nutrition programmes for disadvantaged groups.

Strengthening cooperation discussed

Co-Mayor Hatun then met with Anja Dahl, Country Director of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), which works internationally on sustainable development, capacity-building in local administrations and employment projects. The meeting addressed strengthening technical and financial cooperation in areas such as infrastructure projects, environmentally friendly development and youth employment in Diyarbakır.

During the meetings, Co-Mayor Hatun was accompanied by Murat Akbaş, Head of the Department of Studies and Projects, and Özlem Tekin, Head of the Department of Financial Services.
