Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality City Theatre (DBŞT) took to the stage at the 28th International Ankara Theatre Festival with its production Romeo û Juliet (Niha Çawa ye?).
Organised for the 28th time this year by the Foundation for Social Research, Culture and Art (TAKSAV), the festival hosted the performance of Romeo û Juliet (Niha Çawa ye?), directed by Ruknettin Gün, bringing theatre-goers together in Ankara.
Running until 1 December, the festival will feature 28 productions by both Turkish and international companies. DBŞT’s performance was followed with strong interest by festival audiences.
The performance was also attended by Tahir Baykuşak, Theatre Director under the Department of Culture and Social Affairs. The cast includes Ömer Şahin, Elvan Koçer, Özcan Ateş, Nurşen Adıgüzel, Perinaz Delazy and Sena Özbey.
