Amed Peace Meetings to Host New Session

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality will hold the third session of its “Amed Peace Meetings” programme under the title “Social and Psychological Approaches to Peacebuilding”.

Launched to discuss peace in all its dimensions and to help build a shared future, the Amed Peace Meetings continue as a wide-ranging initiative bringing together different peoples, faiths and cultures. The programme addresses the social, political and psychological aspects of peace. Within this framework, the third session will focus on “Social and Psychological Approaches to Peacebuilding”. The event will explore the concepts of political apology, social reconciliation (helalleşme) and psychosocial support, and will assess—through international examples—the challenges of societal peace processes as well as the possibilities offered by social and political psychology.
