As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality delivered a “Breast Awareness” training session for women employees.

Organised by the Department of Human Resources and Training, the session targeted women employees working within the Metropolitan Municipality and the Diyarbakır Water and Sewerage Administration (DİSKİ), as well as women councillors. The training, delivered by Specialist Dr Derya Deniz Altıntaş, took place in the Municipal Council Chamber.

The session covered topics including “What is breast cancer?”, “The importance of early diagnosis”, “Risk factors”, and “Signs, diagnosis and treatment methods”. Dr Altıntaş underlined that early detection saves lives and emphasised the importance of regular check-ups.
