Throughout November, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality will host a series of cultural memory talks with academics, educators, writers and archaeologists at the Cemilpaşa Mansion City Museum.
The Cultural Memory Talks will take place in the Temporary Exhibition Hall of the City Museum, operated under the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of the Metropolitan Municipality.
On 7 November at 14:00, educator and writer Filiz Parlak will give a talk entitled “Diyarbakır Cuisine”. Academic M. Alişan Budak will deliver a talk on “Urban Musical Culture in Diyarbekir in the 19th and 20th Centuries” on 8 November at 14:00.
On 14 November, again at 14:00, writer Mehmet Şimşek will speak under the title “The Syriacs among the Ancient Peoples of Diyarbakır”. On 28 November at 14:00, doctoral archaeologists Şıvan Ayus and Fatma Durma will be at the City Museum with a talk entitled “From Military Garrisons to Sacred Spaces: Zerzevan Castle and Rome’s Mysterious Beliefs”.
