Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality is bringing world-renowned opera and vocal artist Pervin Chakar together with art enthusiasts. Following a two-day training, Chakar will take to the stage alongside 10 participants.

As part of the event organised by the Department of Culture and Social Affairs, Opera Artist Pervin Chakar will provide a masterclass in music and vocal training on 10–11 September 2025 at the Çand Amed Culture and Congress Centre, after which she will perform with her students.

Exclusive training for 10 participants, ending with a concert

During the two-day programme, Chakar will deliver one-to-one training to 10 selected participants aged between 18 and 30 who are interested in music. Young talents will have the opportunity to benefit from the artist’s experience and will perform in a concert with Chakar at the end of the programme.

Participation free of charge, applications open

The training sessions will take place between 11:00 and 17:00 and participation will be entirely free of charge. Requirement of a Kurdish piece

Among the two pieces to be submitted by candidates for the masterclass, at least one must be in Kurdish.
