Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality organised a four-day Dalcroze Workshop for musicians.
The Department of Culture and Social Affairs held the four-day workshop for music instructors at Çand Amed Culture and Congress Centre. The workshop offers a fun and experiential approach to teaching and learning music.
The training, which was attended by 30 participants, was delivered by Ava Loiacono and Alessandra De Grandi from Italy.
The Dalcroze method, which awakens, develops and refines innate musical sensitivity through rhythmic movement and ear training, has been practised for more than a century. The method was developed by Swiss composer and educator Émile Jaques-Dalcroze (1865–1950).
Structured and progressive exercises allow participants to enhance their personal awareness of body and musicality, while also opening the way to individual development and artistic intuition. Today, Dalcroze’s ideas on education have been supported by scientific research and are recognised as an effective method for awakening and cultivating musical sensitivity.
