Co-Mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, Serra Bucak, attended the CEMR Political Committee Meeting held in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Co-Mayor Serra Bucak travelled to Karlsruhe for the Political Committee Meeting of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), of which she is a delegate.

Also in the delegation of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (TBB), a member of CEMR, together with Co-Mayor Bucak, were Ayşe Ünlüce, Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality; Abdurrahman Tutdere, Mayor of Adıyaman Municipality; Sinem Dedeoğlu, Mayor of Üsküdar Municipality; and Suat Yıldız, Secretary General of TBB.

The meeting began with a field visit

The two-day meeting began with a field visit to examine the transportation system of the city of Karlsruhe. In addition to sessions where CEMR’s administrative matters will be discussed, many topics will be addressed, including urban transport, building bridges between people and communities during times of crisis, and connecting cities and municipalities in times of war.
