Guests arriving in the city for the UCLG-MEWA Executive Board and Council Joint Meeting, hosted by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, visited the historic Ten-Eyed Bridge and Zerzevan Castle.
A tour of the city's historical and cultural sites was organised for guests attending the UCLG-MEWA Executive Board and Council Joint Meeting, held on 23-24 October and hosted by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality.
Culture and Tourism Unit guides, affiliated with the Department of Cultural and Social Affairs, provided information about Diyarbakır's historical and cultural sites in English and Arabic during the tour.
Accompanied by members of the Metropolitan Council and municipal staff, the guests first visited the Ten-Eyed Bridge, where they received information about the bridge and took commemorative photographs.
The guests then moved on to the historic Zerzevan Castle. Captivated by the castle’s unique view, they were briefed by the guides about its history. Following the tour, the guests were treated to a meal.
Expressing their satisfaction with the warm hospitality, the guests were seen off to their home countries.
