3,545 Tradespeople Visited Through “On-the-Spot Solutions” Outreach

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality’s On-the-Spot Solutions teams visited 3,545 tradespeople across 30 neighbourhoods in the districts of Bağlar, Kayapınar, Yenişehir and Sur, listening to their requests and suggestions on site.

Operating under the Directorate of Press, Media and Public Relations, the On-the-Spot Solutions teams continue their work in line with a people-centred approach to local governance. To ensure residents can reach the Municipality directly and to strengthen communication channels, the teams carried out an extensive field programme across the four central districts.

As part of this work, the teams visited workplaces one by one in 30 neighbourhoods across Bağlar, Kayapınar, Yenişehir and Sur, holding one-to-one meetings with a total of 3,545 tradespeople and recording their requests and recommendations.

Requests heard on site

During the fieldwork, the teams listened to the needs and expectations of local tradespeople and initiated solution processes on the spot in response to the issues raised. Information leaflets prepared in Turkish, Kurmancî and Kirmanckî were distributed to residents, with the aim of resolving problems swiftly and directly.

Communication channels promoted

The teams also reminded residents that Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality provides services 24/7, and shared information on how residents can contact the Municipality via the Alo 153 Call Centre and the WhatsApp line at 0412 153 00 00.

Information provided on the Alo Violence Hotline

As part of the outreach, the 444 36 21 Alo Violence Hotline was also introduced, emphasising that women can safely access support whenever they need it.

The teams additionally distributed the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Press Bulletin to tradespeople, which includes information on municipal services.
