Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak attended a press statement held in the Çınar district as part of activities marking 8 March, International Working Women’s Day.

The Dicle Amed Women’s Platform (DAKAP) delivered the statement at Nujiyan Park in Çınar district. Those attending included DBB Co-Mayor Serra Bucak, women co-mayors from district municipalities, and local women. Prior to the programme, women marched from the DEM Party district office to Nujiyan Park.

In the statement delivered at the park, it was noted that women-led resistance against policies of oppression and violence has been gaining strength, and determination was expressed to build a women-centred democratic way of life. The event concluded after participants danced a halay.
