Festival delegation visits DBB

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Serra Bucak hosted theatre companies, academics and culture and arts representatives from different countries who are in the city for the 11th International Amed Theatre Festival.

As part of the 11th International Amed Theatre Festival, organised by the Metropolitan Municipality from 22 April to 2 May under the theme “Dialogue for Peace”, theatre companies from 19 countries, including Italy, Switzerland, Iran, Syria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Ukraine, visited Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality.

Co-Mayor Bucak welcomed the delegation and held a meeting with them. The meeting focused on work in the field of culture and the arts, with participants exchanging views. Discussions also addressed the development of cultural activities and the strengthening of international cooperation.

Expressing her pleasure at the visit, Co-Mayor Bucak said: “We are very happy to have you here. The cultural and artistic activities being carried out in the city under the theme ‘Dialogue for Peace’ are extremely valuable.”

Members of the delegation thanked Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality for hosting such a wide-ranging organisation.

Co-Mayor Bucak was accompanied during the visit by Deputy Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality Muhabbet Erdoğmuş, Head of the Department of Culture, Arts and Social Affairs Zeynep Yaş, and municipal council members.
