Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality provides free maintenance and repair of powered and manual wheelchairs, which facilitate the active participation of persons with disabilities in daily life.

The Department of Social Services continues its efforts to minimise the difficulties faced by persons with disabilities. Within the Common Life Area in Sümerpark, the Branch Directorate for Services for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly supports individuals by carrying out free maintenance, repair and replacement of parts for powered and manual wheelchairs, enabling persons with physical disabilities to be more mobile and to move with greater ease.

Persons wishing to benefit from the powered and manual wheelchair maintenance and repair workshop can apply to the Disability Services Unit for Services for Adult Social Care Department.
