The Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality (DBB) Women’s Assembly held its assembly meeting for the second term, with a new membership composition.

The DBB Women’s Assembly continues its work to advance gender equality and women’s rights. Aiming to strengthen solidarity among women employees and to increase their participation in decision-making processes, the Women’s Assembly convened its second-term meeting.

At the meeting, held at the municipality’s service building, it was underlined that the assembly’s core operating principles—thinking together, producing together and moving forward in solidarity—are the key elements that will shape the assembly’s voice, direction and strength. It was stated that the aim is for the Women’s Assembly to continue its work by growing stronger on the basis of solidarity.

During the meeting, participants reviewed and assessed the Women’s Assembly’s activities from the previous term, discussed planning for the forthcoming period, and considered events proposed for implementation. Preparations were also made in connection with 8 March, International Women’s Day, with a focus on expanding women’s struggle and solidarity.
